Researches have concluded that vegetarians are less likely to develop heart condition, arterial hypertension or strokes, but they are not protected against them. The only thing that makes vegetarians ahead of the rest in circulatory problems in the fact that they do not eat fats almost at all.
It is believed that vegetarians are also protected against cancer. This doesn’t mean that being a vegetarian does not impose any health risks. It’s a known fact that living healthy means living with moderation, not with prohibitions.
Since so many people today experience weight problems, they all want to encounter the best fat loss secrets, and because the vegetarian diet seems so healthy and convincing, they are inclined to go for it. True vegetarian do not only eat vegetables, but also exercise. So, in a way they lead a healthier life. The vegetarian diet can be balanced if all the necessary nutrients are assured and not too many aliments are excluded. On the other hand, in the situations when aliments are excluded in great numbers, like in the strictly vegetarian diet, sticking to the diet is very difficult sometimes.
The recent studies that have been conducted on vegetarian groups show that they are indeed lacking major elements like vitamins D and B12 and iron or calcium, deficits that will eventually lead to health problems.
The truth is that vegetarians are a group of people who don’t actually lead the healthy life they believe they lead. Regardless of how full they fell after a meal, their internal organs will not feel like they are fed at all, because none of the necessary nutrients is present. Cell membranes will start degrading slowly and bones will become more and more lighter. Here, we should remind ourselves of osteoporosis, a bone condition that is encountered mostly in women or even men who did not eat enough calcium based aliments during their lives.
Good diets will always make sure you are eating right, just not too much. These diets should be based on moderation, on general health and not on starving ourselves or our bodies. Vegetarians may be thinner and look more active than the rest of people, but in fact they are much more ill inside or will become in the near future, in case their diets are exclusive and kept for many years.
