Okay, I’m a 12 year ancient girl (my 13th birthday is in 23 days). I am overweight and wish to lose 30-40 lbs before sept. 4. I can exercise as much as needed. I am also able to drink water all day long. The thing is I barley know how to get started!! I am 158 lbs and 5′6. What is the right weight for me and can someone please place down a workout plot/ healthy foods(besides veggies??) Thanks for all your help(;
First off, you’re BARELY overweight. You do not need to lose 30-40 pounds. To get to an average BMI (Body Mass Index), you could stand to lose about 10-18 pounds.
Secondly, set realistic goals. Set up a schedule with you going to the gym every day or every other day, and don’t start going and then just stop. To really lose weight takes determination and perseverance.
Don’t fall for any "losing weight quick" gimmicks. Losing weight is HARD and takes a long time to get to everywhere you want to be. Just persevere and stay optimistic!
Get a excellent nights sleep every night.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and make sure you START the day off with a healthy breakfast. Eating breakfast speeds up your metabolism.
Also, waking up a small earlier (maybe going to the gym first thing) will cause you to feel like you have more energy.
Don’t worry so much about heavy dieting, just eat things in moderation. Obviously, don’t cram your body full of junk, just eat a excellent amount of fruit and vegetables every day, and drink lots of water! Staying hydrated is always a fantastic thing!
I would also suggest joining a sports team at school. Soccer? Swim team? Any kind of sport that appeals to you really. It’s a FUN and rewarding way to get in shape.
Lastly, don’t get down on yourself. Have a positive outlook and you’ll go a long, long way.
