  • Most public start out a weight loss program with excellent motivation for weight loss.  They find a diet and/or exercise program that appeals to them and they get excited about losing weight as they start.  The problem is, that excitement doesn’t last long in the majority of cases and many public start to “cheat” on their weight loss programs within just a few days, and most ultimately give up completely within a few weeks.

No matter how excellent or effective a weight loss program is, it’s not going to work very well if you give up on it before you have a opportunity to get any results.  What you reckon is excellent motivation to lose weight when you intially start your weight loss program may not be enough to carry you through to your goal.  You need to “motivate to lose weight” with as much consistency and ongoing effort as you have to apply to the weight loss program itself.

Simply lacking to lose weight is just not enough to get motivated to lose weight and stay motivated while changing your eating and exercise habits.  Losing weight requires effort, despite what the advertising hype for various weight loss programs may imply.  To keep yourself moving forward and making the necessary efforts, you need to get some serious motivation for weight loss that goes beyond lacking it.  You need to be at the point everywhere you have strong emotion behind your desire to lose the weight, and you must be able to access that strong emotion any time you feel like cheating on your program.

The key to effective motivation for weight loss is emotional leverage.  For most public, the most effective emotional leverage comes from what many would mark as “negative” emotions, and many individuals these days go to fantastic lengths to avoid fully experiencing their negative emotions.  When it comes to accomplishing anything noteworthy though, the vast majority of public need to intensely experience negative emotions to really get motivated for weight loss and stay that way.

If you’re not ready to experience any negative emotion, it’s probably best if you stop reading this shape up right now and forget about losing weight.

You must be willing to take a hard look inward to get to the emotions behind lacking to lose weight.  As an example, if being overweight makes you feel stout and hideous, really associate to that feeling.  Take it a step further and figure out how those feelings are completing your life in other ways.  Perhaps you’re living a lonely life because you are starting to avoid shared situations because you feel stout and hideous and reckon that others will view you the same way.  Whatever negative emotions regarding your weight that you can access, really investigate them and really feel the pain.  That pain is going to be the “fuel” that drives you to lose the surplus weight once and for all and keep it off!
